In July, I ran a 5k on the 4th and another one on the 24th. Somehow after that, I got the crazy idea that I could run a 1/2 marathon. A running friend of mine used the logic that if you can run 3 miles, you can run 5. If you can run 5 you can run 8, if you can run 8 you can do 10 and if you can do 10 then you can to 13. Crazy, I know. But I decided to give it a try and spent the month of August building up to 10 miles and then running the 1/2 marathon last week. Guess what? I survived! I can't say I loved it and I'm not sure I'll do it again. I really am not a runner. I did not run fast during the race, but I finished. And without walking! My legs were like jello by the end but my ipod kept me going. I loved seeing my little cheering squad at the finish line, I am grateful for their support!

Congrats i knew you could do it!!!!
Way to go! That is quite an accomplishment!
And no worries about the bracelets. I'm not in a hurry.
I'm so glad you blogged about this - it's a BIG DEAL and you'll want to remember it! I'm proud of you, friend! I am NOT a runner (not even a jogger, unless it's toward a big plate of nachos), so I'm super-impressed!
Good for you! This is awesome. Such a great accomplishment. That does look like a great cheering squad to be waiting for you.
I love the Lagoon update. The video is great!
