1. He is a calming force in my life. Whenever I start to go crazy or act stressed, he is the voice of reason and serenity.
2. He makes me laugh. Dave is a really funny guy, at least I think so. Not a day goes by without him cracking me up.
3. He works hard, whatever he's doing. Whether it's work, church callings, or when he was in school- he's always been dedicated.
4. He's a great father. Having the twins first was a blessing in many ways, including throwing Dave into fatherhood. He's been a hands-on dad ever since. Actually, he's always loved babies, especially newborns. Before we had kids I was petrified of newborns, but not Dave. He was always asking to hold other people's babies. I haven't seen him do that lately, perhaps because now his lap or arms are always full...
5. He's a great husband. He's quick to help and slow to criticize. What a great combination! He makes me feel special and I love that about him.
6. He's easy on the eyes- at least that's one girl's opinion. Oh, and I think so too!
7. He's kind and considerate. He always puts the toilet seat down. That may sound lame, but I've never once had to ask him to do so. He's always been one to pick up after himself, I thank his mom for that. It's the simple things that keep us together.
8. He is a true confidant. He is never one to gossip and is the best secret-keeper I know.
9. He has an opinion, but he let's me have one too. He loves a great debate, just ask him about politics, the Yankees or food. By the way, he LOVES food.
10. He's my best friend. I love spending time with him. Whether we are on a date, a trip, watching TV or just hanging out, he's a great companion and there's no one else I'd rather spend my life with! Thanks Dave for 10 great years and I hope for many, many more!
To celebrate our 10 years together, we talked about taking an overnight trip together. After much discussion, reason won out and we decided we'd rather put the money towards finishing the backyard. Boring, I know. But we are excited to finally finish the backyard (if the landscaping company ever shows up). This morning I got up early and made us breakfast and then this weekend we will go out for dinner and a movie. While we won't be traveling this year, we have been fortunate in the past to be able to go on many trips together including: Norway, France, Mexico and several places in California. Below are some of the photos from those memorable trips. Hey, if we can't go this year, we should at least take a "trip" down memory lane.

Congratulations on 10 years, you guys are a great example!
Happy 10 year! You two are a wonderful couple... perfect match. That comment about Dave being great with newborns reminded me of his kindness in watching Lucy for us when she was a couple weeks old and not a good girl... what a great guy!
