Happy Halloween!

As previously mentioned, I'm not the biggest fan of Halloween. Having kids, however, has made the holiday more fun. William and Sophia are old enough now to understand Trick or Treating a little more and they were so excited to go out and get some candy. Here were their costumes this year:

William the Fireman

Sophia the Princess

Eva the Fairy

The whole gang!
The kids couldn't understand why Dave and I weren't dressing up. So, they picked out costumes for us (not that we were going to wear them). They decided that I needed to dress up as a doctor and Dave needed to dress up as the Bishop. Once we left the house to go Trick-or-Treating, they totally forgot about Dave and I dressing up (thank heavens). William and Sophia had such a great time. They had a couple of pieces of candy before they went to bed and then woke up in the morning asking for more. I personally am a fan of chocolate for breakfast, but I insisted they have a decent breakfast first. By the time they ate their breakfast, they totally forgot about the candy. That means more for Dave and I!

I love it that my kids will still surrender their candy to the "big bowl"!!! Then they don't know when mom needs something sweet. Your kids are adorable...come visit me at "the zoo" again!!! I hope they had fun!
