Falling in Love with Old Navy

Years ago, I used to love Old Navy. I fell out of love a few years ago when it seemed that they were catering to a younger crowd. The styles were crazy, way too young for me to pull off and the sizing of their clothes seemed to only fit a teen who hadn't been through puberty. I would still shop there for the kids, but not for me. My brother works for the Gap Corporation in HR and had been telling me about the changes coming to Old Navy. He said Old Navy's new target demographic is "Jenny". A 30-something woman with young twins (sound like me?). She's average height and weight, not a PRE-PUBESCENT TEEN! He sent me the Give and Get Coupon (30% off at Old Navy, Gap and Banana Republic until Sunday- send me your email if you want the coupon) and I went to Old Navy yesterday. I was truly amazed!

For the first time in a LONG time, I loved the clothes at the store. There was so many cute things, it was hard to choose. Then, when I went to select a size, I was pleasantly surprised. The clothes actually fit! I didn't feel like a giant cow at their store anymore. I even bought jeans from them which I would normally never do. I just have to say that I am happily falling back in love with Old Navy. Here's one of the outfits I bought yesterday, and I bought some summer stuff for the kids too.

Anyone else been in lately? Noticed a difference?

Isn't it SO nice and "esteem-boosting", to find clothes that you love AND fit you?? I know how it is to go into stores, only to come back out empty handed and feeling worse than when I walked in. Happy for you!! I would LOVE the coupon. "just in case" :)

It's good to hear that they are catering to real people with real figures. I happen to be going there tomorrow. I would love the coupon. Thanks!

Heather,
You always look so cute, I would definitely shop anywhere that you recommend. I would love the coupon! j_langeland@yahoo.com

P.S. I still am interested in the cupcakes. When I tried to register for the class it was full and I was told there were 50 people on the waiting list.

I've been looking for the "perfect jeans" for the past few weeks (you know... doesn't show six inches of white/skin when you squat down to pick up your child). Maybe I'll try Old Navy. Thanks for the idea.
