Sunny California

We've just returned from a fantastic vacation with Dave's family in Capistrano Beach, CA. We had such an amazing time. It's always sad to come back to the real world and the mountain of laundry. We stayed in a beautiful beach house, played in the sand & ocean, visited Sea World & Disneyland and made many great memories. What a week! This post will have an abundance of photos, however, considerably less than the 250+ photos that are on the camera (next time I'll learn how to do a slideshow). My one regret is that I forgot to switch the camera into video mode when the girls met the Princesses at Disneyland. I really would have liked to capture that on video, it was pretty magical.

The beach house and fun in the sand:

In an effort to avoid all the "I want"s that can possibly come from souvenir shops, I bought each of the kids a souvenir before the trip. Then, the "Vacation Fairy" left them a little something every day. It seemed to work really well, the kids loved their gifts. Here they are showing off their first present.

Sea World

The kids sat in the splash zone during the dolphin show and were soaked!

Rides at Disneyland:

Autotopia

Teacups

Small World (the girl's favorite)

Matterhorn

Dumbo

Buzz Lightyear (William's favorite)

Meeting the Princess and Tinkerbell

Although the wait was over 1 1/2 hours to see the princesses, Sophia had no problem making friends along the way. It certainly helped to kill the time.

Meeting Woody and Jesse from Toy Story:

We coerced each of the kids into coming into the ocean. Eva was the only one that liked it. Poor William was holding on for dear life:

Softball and smores on the beach:

Movie Night: The Wizard of Oz- Is anyone even blinking???

That looks like such a fun vacation! Its cute to see so many "princess hugs." Personally, I like all the pictures better than a slide show.

Good luck with all the laundry. :)

So fun! I am still thinking about your french toast and syrup. Please share the recipe! Perhaps it is time to get our Langeland Favorites blog up and runnig!

What an awesome week of making memories. I tried to take a few minutes each night following our trip and had Jayden tell me some of his favorite parts. I wrote them down so someday I can add commentary to the pictures. I am glad that it went so well.
