On Sunday we celebrated Eva's 2nd birthday. We are so thrilled this sweet girl is in our family. Here's a photo of her when she was just a few days old. Here's a few things about Eva: she's very shy, but when she's feeling comfortable, she's the life of the party. She is such a ham and loves to make everyone laugh. She's very tenderhearted and doesn't like to see anyone upset. She's allergic to eggs and peanuts, so she's never had a fresh baked cookie or peanut butter or a million other things. Hopefully, she'll grow out of it. She adores her brother and sister and thinks she's as old as they are. She has an adorable lisp, we hope she grows out of that too, but not too soon. It's just too cute.
Here's a few favorites of Eva's:
Favorite foods: pasta, bananas and cheetos (but not together)
Favorite color: pinkFavorite word: "self" as in "I'll do it my self". So independent.
Favorite movie: The Wizard of Oz. It's a serious obsession. She's seen the movie several times and she talks about it all day long. We play the soundtrack constantly and I tell her the story every night before bed.
Here she is helping me tell the story:
So, to celebrate her turning 2, we had a Wizard of Oz party. I did some searching and found a complete, unopened collection of McDonald's Wizard of Oz Madame Alexander dolls as her present. She adores them. She was spoiled by her grandparents and received lots of great stuff. We played pin the brain on the scarecrow, danced up and down the yellow brick road and enjoyed a Wizard of Oz cake. Sweet Aunt Shannon came over earlier in the day and read Eva a Wizard of Oz pop-up book. What a great birthday! We love you Eva!

Holy cow! I can hardly believe it's been two years. It seems like yesterday you were this cute pregnant lady! Anyway, that video is A-DOR-ABLE and you'll be so glad you have that! Halle went through a Wiz stage, too. I loved it!
Ok it KILLS me how cute she is when she is so excited about telling the story. Then you say that Dorothy got lost and her face completely changes! So cute! I can't believe how well she talks.
Can't wait to show this to my kids when they get home from school!
Wow! That is THE cutest blog ever!I love the theme of the party...I have a Dorothy dress from Madison when she was 2, would you like to borrow it?
Really, didn't the Twins just turn 2? Listening to her reminded me of Will and Sofia at that age, WOW!
So adorable!
I love it! Eva was so darling in the video and you really out did yourself on the birthday theme! I mean going so far as to have them pin the brain on the scarecrow! Classic, what fun memories!
Happy Birthday to Eva! Loved the video... that little voice is adorable! I was impressed at how well she knew the story AND the song! So sweet!
Heather! I loved catching up on your sight. What fun you had in So. California this Summer. A beach house?!! Cool. I am afraid to admit that I'm a Stefanie's Red Velvet Cheesecake fan too...sorry Adam's. I feel guilty too. Adam's has always been a staple until now. I love the way you write Heather, and I just love your family. Wish me luck at Disneyland in two weeks for Jane's 2nd B-day. Any tips? Is the line to see the princesses really 1 1/2 hr. long? Oh boy, it's worth it. Right? Ms. Amy does a great job and I'm so glad the kids are enrolled there. Love, Tiff
